switch.: Aeon
Epic sci-fi drama: this is what switch.’s new release, Aeon, offers. Composed by Nick Murray and Jeremiah Pena, it is an electronic/orchestral album of futuristic inspiration. Aeon includes uplifting and inspiring cues, as well as dramatic or contemplative ones, with vocals by Juliet Lyons and Tyler Gurwicz.
“Aeon is a special project for us”, switch explains. “In writing this album we really wanted to explore how far we can push trailer music. Like those who venture beyond our atmosphere in search of something new, we took one small step for mankind to create what we feel is some of our best music yet. Aeon touches on the vast expansiveness of space, the intimate emotions of longing for home, and the power of human relationships. We hope that you can feel that when you listen to this album.”
A 52-piece string orchestra was recorded live with Capellen Orchestra in Czech Republic, “to really bring these cues over the top”. They “needed that realism, that beauty”. The album was mixed by Jake Jackson and mastered by Erick Labson at the Universal Mastering Studios.
The album cover artwork was made by Nick Murray from a photo taken by Ben Canales.
Aeon is available to the public for purchase through iTunes and Amazon. For licensing information, contact switch.
