TrailerSound: Behind the Epic!
Hosted by veteran composer Nick Murray, founder of the trailer music company switch., TrailerSound is a weekly show that takes you… behind the epic!
Through live interviews with various protagonists of the trailer music industry – composers, engineers, orchestra contractors, assistants, supervisors… you will “get to know the people behind the epic music you hear in movie trailers”. TrailerSound will give “an all-access look at the trailer music industry”, as Nick Murray explains on his blog.
Furthermore, you have the possibility to ask questions before shows via Facebook or Twitter, or live during the show, via Ustream.
Interviews are broadcasted live via Ustream every Thursday at 12:00 PST (8:00 pm GMT); they are also recorded and later uploaded to Youtube, where you can watch them again or catch up the latest episodes.
So far, sixth episodes have been made. TrailerSound started on April 4, with an interview with Dave Wainwright and Jode Steele, the duo behind Verbal Vigilante:
A week later, it was Chris Haigh’s turn – Chris is known for his work with Gothic Storm, and, more recently, Immediate Music:
Then, composer and arranger Adam Gubman:
The fourth episode was dedicated to the new company Black Phoenix Music, founded by another duo, Christoph Allerstorfer and Michael Maas!
The sixth and latest episode put Cinesamples forward: “Joining Mike Patti will be the rest of the team at Cinesamples including Sam Estes, Noah Gladstone, Michael Barry, Alex Temple, Sebastian Najand, and Sam Smythe”, TrailerSound says. “This is our most EPIC episode yet!” The video will be up on Youtube very shortly.
