Chroma & J2: Immortal
The highly-anticipated album Immortal marks the third collaboration between Chroma and composer J2, following the excellent Playing With Fire and J2/LV, released in 2014.
Powerful, dramatic and epic, Immortal is a thrilling six-track EP, offering rock/orchestral trailer music. Some cues are purely orchestral, while others are more pop/rock oriented, featuring lyrics.
Immortal is J2’s “second solo album of original compositions, following last year’s Playing with Fire“, Chroma explains. J2, also known as Jay Singh, has “further developed his worldly sound and production prowess to generate huge soundscapes geared for campaigns desiring epic storytelling. Four of these new tracks are full-length songs written and produced specifically for motion picture advertising and promos, while featuring alternate stripped arrangements that offer a sense of intimacy during those key dramatic moments. “
