Philippe Rey: Titanium
French composer Philippe Rey just released a new solo album, Titanium – “1.5 hour of Epic Orchestral and Cinematic Music”.
Titanium is a musical journey, filled with emotion, adventure, and epic and inspiring moments. Its name reflects Rey’s passion for music and life, and his tenacity – he lost his music studio earlier this year, but that didn’t stop him from working on a new album, and, last but not least, collaborating with the talented female vocalist Felicia Farerre. She is known in the trailer music area for her work with Jo Blankenburg on his albums Vendetta and Elysium, both distributed by Position Music.
“Life is a strange and mysterious thing could have been the title for this album”, Phil Rey says. “The year 2013 has been one of the most important years of my life. Epic, I would say! I’ve experienced a lot of deep changes. But when life knocks at your door, you’d better open it. I won a new life, but I also had new challenges to face; the most important being that my music studio was destroyed. This album has been created ‘on the road’ (to my new life), between two houses, sitting behind a poor Toshiba laptop. Bohemia could also have been a good title! It has been a real adventure, full of difficulties, but also full of joy and happiness!”
“I really had to use all my experience (and test my tenacity), to achieve this album. I finally chose a title for it: Titanium. It embodies something solid, and indestructible, as is my passion for music and for life. I hope you will enjoy this musical journey. To help me to achieve this album, I had the incredible support of Felicia Farerre. She has an incredible voice and a rare talent, a huge experience, and most of all, a ‘beautiful’ soul.”
Philippe Rey is already working on several new projects with Felicia Farerre. “The adventure continues”!
