Shockwave Sound: Massive Impact Vol. 11
The eleventh volume of the Massive Impact series just went out.
“We are proud to bring you the latest volume in our ‘Massive Impact’ series of epic orchestral production music”, Shockwave Sound says. The album, heroic, epic, full of adventure and fantasy, has a “powerful feel of epic Hollywood productions.” It is “suitable for epic trailers, sci-fi and fantasy, war and conflict, amazing journeys and discoveries. Many of these tracks start out fragile and with a pensive nerve, only to grow, grow and rise up into an epic, huge climax.”
The particularity of this new volume, composed by Yuri Sazonoff, is the use of live instruments. “We hired an actual live performing philharmonic string section and live vocalists for this project, and used them in combination with cleverly programmed stacks of samplers and virtual instruments”, the company explains. “Some tracks also feature a live solo soprano vocalist on top of the choirs, for that fragile, haunting sound.”
One of the cues, “Protectors of Fate”, sounds rather similar to Two Steps From Hell’s “Protectors of the Earth”.
Massive Impact Vol. 11 is currently not available to the public for purchase. For licensing information, visit the Shockwave Sound website. It is a royalte-free album.
