Shockwave Sound: Massive Impact Vol. 08
Shockwave Sound‘s latest epic release is Massive Impact Vol. 8. According to Shockwave Sound, it is “The eight in our collection of epic, massive, thunderous, powerful music suitable for dramatic trailers and more.”
Massive Impact Vol. 8 was composed by Pierre Gerwig Langer. One of the tracks, “Honor Your Calling”, feature a nice female solo vocal, while “Meet the Maker” feature a male solo vocal, in the tradition of tracks such as “Call for Heroes” from Massive Impact Vol. 4, “Heroic Tale” from Vol. 5 or “Acta Sanctorum” from Vol. 6.
“The music on our Massive Impact series uses a small number of live orchestral instruments and live singers, cleverly combined with stacks of realistic samples, to create a huge, overpowering sound dominated by the symphonic orchestra, full choir and huge, booming percussion.” Shockwave Sound explains. “The music is suitable for epic trailers, action and adventure, fighting, brawling, extreme sports, death and destruction, heroes and gladiators, high impact footage, etc. The addition of the ‘Rock Mixes’, where hard rock guitars and drums have been added on top of the symphonic recordings, bring yet another level of power and guts to these already extremely hard hitting tracks. The collection features 10 different compositions, each in many different versions.”
