Firing up some classical sounds
What do Jane Austin Novels, rainy Parisian streets and international departure lounges have in common? Each of them helped inspire composer Robert Bennett to create Fired Earth Music's upcoming release, Bellitas!
A Night in Fantazium
I'm sure we're all familiar with this scenario: It's early in the morning, and you've clicked the play button for "Dream Chasers" approximately 500 times. Bleary eyed, you search desperately for more fantastic, magical music, but so far it has all been in vain. Until now!

Fired Earth Music has released their third album, Fantazium! As you might guess from the name, fantasy, adventure and magical fun abound in this album from composer Toby Chu. Featuring twelve enchanted tracks, its a lighthearted and genuinely fun listen! You can listen to all the main mixes on Fired Earth Music's website. It's certainly worth the effort!
Who knows, your dreams tonight might be filled with magical realms and fantasy wonders!
Power of Darkness, Fantazium & Platinum Series 4
- This month, all the Trailer Music fans are watching in the same direction, and many of you (everyone?) are wondering the same thing: when will PoD be released ?
-
I asked Thomas: "It will not be done until the 16th of march
.Genesis should follow shortly." - No release date for this one, but it's just a matter of weeks now. Thanks to Thomas for his answer.
- Fired Earth Music will release Fantazium in April. It will encompass the "Fantasy, Heroic Adventure, Family Fun, Romance, Humor and Mischief" styles.
- Audiomachine updated their Facebook page with a video of the recording session for Platinum 4 The album is slated for release this spring.
- EDIT : The video was removed from the page; don't know why.
-
EDIT 2 : Thomas updated his blog with this message : "Guys, although I appreciate the excitement surrounding Power of Darkness, I really don’t understand it :) Keep in mind that this is still not a commercial album and will only be available to our clients. The actual shipping date is 16th of March but that doesn’t mean there will be demos on our site by then. It will not appear in the Extreme online catalogue either, so there’s really nothing to be excited about when it comes down to it :)
Best,
Thomas"
Fired Earth Music featured in 'Percy Jackson' international trailer
"Man of Steel" from Fired Earth Music was used in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief campaign. It's a pretty epic track from the album 'Vulcano', composed by Troels Folmann, and it can be heard in the international trailer below (1:04 - end), as well as in a few featurettes. You can watch the featurettes at Troels Folmann's blog.
Also, be sure to check out the other trailers for music by Full Tilt, Audiomachine, Two Steps From Hell, and Ars Arcana. Yep, music from 'The Savage Tongue' is still being used in trailers.
(Thanks Hannah for the heads up!)

Fired Earth Music releases its second album: 'Cyanite'
Fired Earth Music contacted us to let us know about their newest addition to their library! First I'll introduce the company itself, if anyone missed our previous post about Fired Earth Music and their debut album Vulcano. (Be sure to check out their awesome new website, if you haven't already!)
FIRED EARTH MUSIC, launched Summer 2009, is the new music library causing a buzz in Hollywood. Providing premium cues exclusively for motion picture advertising, Fired Earth Music is working with esteemed trailer music composers to release small collections of high-end theatrical cues quarterly.
Their explosive first album, Vulcano, was composed by British Academy Award winner, Troels Folmann. Folmann has specialized in emotional and epic orchestral scores for feature trailers, including: Valkyrie, Xmen 3, Spiderman 3, 10,000 B.C., and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 to name a few.
Vulcano is Fired Earth Music’s epic debut album, described as:
“The ultimate hybrid fusing Dramatic Orchestral with Rock, Electronic and Tribal, all blazing with intensity, emotion and intrigue."

The small album contains 18 unique cues, each with alternate mixes and an effects pack. Check out the reel here:
Vulcano Reel
Check out the full cues at www.firedearthmusic.com.
Cyanite is their new album, and a wide range of themes are on the slab: slasher, hostage, mystery, suspense, abduction, torture, sex and sci-fi. This horror / suspense / fantasy album, was composed by the highly acclaimed composer, Aleksandar Dimitrijevic, whose cues have been used on campaigns for Spiderman, Narnia, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Underworld: Evolution. Cyanite is described as,
“A gritty sonic panic attack of bone-sawing and nerve-shredding cues from the edge of psychosis.”

Fired Earth Music is now turning their attention to their third album for release in December. We'll be sure to post about it here, the moment it comes out.
Cyanite, Brand X...

- Aleksandar Dimitrijevic has revealed on his homepage that Fired Earth Music releases Cyanite with his musical compositions. The album contains 16 horror trailer tracks. More details about this album later.
- Michael Nielsen has uploaded 2 tracks on his MySpace: The Beast at Our Door and Up From the Ashes from album Full Tilt Black.
Fired Earth Music
Time by time new labels are appearing on the scene on a regular basis, one of the latest and most prominent being Fired Earth Music. FEM is a production music library launching this summer. Believe me, this company will be as prominent as TSFH by and by. Their debut album, Vulcano, is simply amazing.
Altough i do not know about the composer of that album but i wager it is Troels Folmann. I can hear his samples in the tracks. I must repeat, excellent work.
There is a second album coming in August 2009, Cyanite.
