Two Steps From Hell Live in Prague: Review of the Concert
On the second day of the Film Music Prague Festival on April 20, two sold-out concerts took place in forum Karlin in Prague (Czech Republic), featuring music from Two Steps From Hell.
Fans litterally came from around the world to attend these thrilling concerts. Two Steps From Hell co-founder Thomas Bergersen, and singers Merethe Soltvedt and Kamila Nývltová performed, while long-time collaborator Petr Pololáník conducted the orchestra and choir (Praga Sinfonietta and Kühnův smíšený sbo). Two Steps From Hell’s other co-founder, Nick Phoenix, couldn’t come.
Even though the program was rather short and the sound wasn’t perfect, the concert and the atmosphere were magical. Many people even stood up for the track “To Glory”:
The encore, “Remember Me”, was a very emotional and touching moment, with Merethe and Thomas performing together. They received a long standing ovation, and Thomas gave a short speech, saying he had the best audience ever and promising more concerts in the future. Even the moment when he came back to pick up his violin on the stage was epic – the crowd gave him yet another round of applause!
