Two Steps From Hell: Unleashed

The kraken is unleashed! Two Steps From Hell has released another epic, bombastic and uplifting album, entitled Unleashed.

The album offers rich and diverse compositions by Nick Phoenix and Thomas Bergersen, and features various vocalists – Merethe Soltvedt, of course, but also Felicia Farerre, Uyanga Bold, C.C. White and Linea Adamson.

On Facebook, Thomas Bergersen stated that “the tracks [he] wrote for the album are generally a little lighter in tone than the previous album”.

Those of you who liked my album Sun“, he said, “will enjoy some of my tracks on Unleashed, most notably “Never Give Up On Your Dreams”, which was originally written for Sun. Unleashed also features a track I composed called “Impossible”. This track combines a lot of my musical influences over the years, from SID chip music, trance, Irish jigs, bombastic orchestral, electronica etc.”

The digital release of the album includes instrumental versions and uncompressed mixes of the main tracks. A 3-disc CD set with alternate versions will be released soon.

Unleased is available to the public for purchase through iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and CDBaby. For licensing information, contact Extreme Music.

Not as varied as Vanquish, but a definite must-have. Love “Impossible,” “Unleashed,” “Secret Melody,” “Final Days of Rome” and “Descendant of the Sun.”

You might also want to say that a 3 disc CD set is coming out with the alternate versions as well, but thank you for all the work you do on this site – very helpful!

Thanks for the heads-up, and thank you for your kind words. I’ll update the post. I have a soft spot for “Run Free”.
