Dark Model’s Debut Album

Dark Model recently released their debut album of the same name, an hybrid electronic/orchestral collection of tracks, described as a “spine-tinglingly epic and relentlessly bold odyssey of sounds & beats consisting of futuristic and edgy orchestral electronica”, from Japanese award-winning composer Tatsuya Oe, also known as Captain Funk.

The first part of the album is mainly electronic, while the second one is more orchestra oriented. The opening cut walks “the line of EDM (Electronic Dance Music), i.e. Dubstep / Drumstep or Electro Funk, while there are so many other musical elements woven together that they can’t be simply pigeonholed as such”. It is followed by “epic pieces” and “psychedelic industrial tracks” that “are throwbacks to soundtracks of the 60s & 70s suspense movies.”

About Dark Model
