Soundcritters: Biomimetics

If you ever wondered what “biomimetics” means, it is “the study of the structure and function of biological systems as models for the design and engineering of materials and machines”, according to wikipedia.

But why choose this name for an album? Delivering hybrid, modern and futuristic music, Biomimetics will be perfect for trailers, but also for (epic) documentaries about biophysics, bionics and cyborg technologies. The tracks feature massive synthesizers, epic orchestra and choir, as well as dubstep elements.

“Biomimetics is a great mix between epic orchestra with choir and massive synthesizers and dubstep elements”, Soundcritters explains. “Created for trailer advertising it’s also a pleasure to hear it just for fun. Hope you like it!”

The beautiful album cover was made by multi-award winning artist Benita Winckler.

Biomimetics is available to the public for purchase through iTunes, Amazon and CDBabyFor licensing information, contact Soundcritters.

(Well one is an Xmas present so it’s okay)

I wish they included the cover art also on iTunes. I wanted to make a CD of it and there’s no physical copy to wrap up!
