True Leap: Singularity

Founded by two young and motivated composers, Cameron Chambers and Armand Rabanal, True Leap is a new company, which specializes in music for motion picture advertising.

Almost a year in the making, Singularity is True Leap’s first album, modern and dynamic, fusing traditional orchestra and electronic sounds in an attempt to satisfy today’s electronic trends while using a lot orchestra elements.

Chambers and Rabanal’s goal was also to make a futuristic and dynamically diverse album. Singularity ranges indeed from piano tracks like “A Symbol”, to heavier and darker cues such as  “Precog” and “Singularity”.

True Leap’s debut album, Singularity, is a head-on collision of the classic Hollywood orchestra sound with today’s heavy electronic influences. The interweaving of glass-like strings and gritty, in-your-face synths creates an inescapable emotional response. Singularity covers a huge dynamic spectrum. Tracks like “Between Two Worlds” and “Precog” highlight the album’s high-octane attitude, while tracks such as “Final Trial” and “A Symbol” bring rich, elemental drama into view”, according to the True Leap website.

True Leap’s first opus features samples, but not only – strings players were recorded live for the occasion.

The True Leap team is already working on a second album, and its style should be slighty different from the first one!
