Introducing: Radical Music

Radical Music is a  music house that licenses music for all sorts of media, including movie trailers.

According to their site, they “specialize in licensing musical content for all platforms of media including film, television, commercials, trailers, gaming, mobile and record production. The Company represents A-level composers and songwriters and owns thousands of compositions ranging from production music to high-end orchestral pieces.” Their mission is to “create the best orchestral music in the film, tv and advertising business”

The credits of this Los Angeles-based company include trailers for blockbuster movies such as The Hunger Games and Kingdom of Heaven; as well as several popular movies like 10,000 BC, The Water Horse and Lady in the Water, just to name a few.

What does their music sound like? Many of their tracks from their Compilation available on SoundCloud are epic or dramatic, while others are full of action and adventure, and some convey a feeling of magic. Here are a few examples – first, “Horizons” which was featured in The Hunger Games trailer; it is a intense piece, composed by John Paesano:
