audiomachine: Helios

audiomachine announced a few days ago a new album, entitled Helios. Composed by Paul Dinletir, and produced by Paul Dinletir and Greg Townley, it was recorded at Air Lyndhurst Studios in London, in April 2012.

“I was posed the question “If you could record anywhere in the world, in the hall of your choice, with any size orchestra to achieve the grandest, most powerful sound you could imagine… Where would you go and what size orchestra would you use?”” Greg Townley says. “After I realized this was a serious question, I thought it out a great deal and replied, “London-Air Lyndhurst with 90-100 players.”  Once Paul Dinletir, owner of audiomachine set his sights on this concept, I was hoping he was going to make it happen. Now I know he means what he says. When I was asked to produce this new project with him I was humbled and ecstatic at the same time.   1. Wow. What a difference a 100 strong orchestra makes (seeing an orchestra live is amazing too). The sound is just huge and body shaking! I will definitely be looking out for a public release of this.
