Introducing: LaLeLa Music

Do you know how to say “listen” in Zulu?

LaLeLa Music is a library for film, TV and other media. The origin of this curious name – lalela –  is interesting: “Lalela, (pronounced ‘la-LEH-la’) is Zulu for ‘LISTEN.’ We are a production music library with a global inflection. Take a moment and listen to our music. We pride ourselves on using the best composers in the business. They make music all over the globe, from Cape Town to LA, from Rio to New York City.” “Lalela Music is a USA/South African company, and we aim to bring together the best of two great countries in music.”

The library features many different styles of music. LaLeLa recently released a quite epic album, called Intense Trailers : “Intense Trailers delivers high-impact tracks using epic orchestral treatments, heavy percussion and sound design”.  Mark Petrie has composed several cues for this album, and they are very epic (listen to “Celestial” and “Polar Shift”!).

Feel free to listen to older albums like Epic, Action, Epic Global Rock … (all of them are in the Cinema category on LaLeLa Music’s site).

LaLeLa Music is also on Facebook. Here is a video introducing their work (not only epic music, but everything else as well).

Lalela’s music is currently not available to the public for purchase. For licensing information, contact them.
