West One Music: Strings of Sorrow

It’s been a while since we’ve mentioned West One Music on this site, but I noticed that they have recently released some more music by Richard Harvey.

If you liked his Epic Journeys album, you might be interested in the much more subdued recent release of Strings of Sorrow.  While this album of production music is a change of pace from the usual epic choral pieces we get excited about, it’s a very nice collection of string music.  It’s described on West One Music’s website as “Moving, mournful and emotive. A stunning collection of pieces for strings by Richard Harvey”.

Not only is this good news for editors, but like many of West One’s albums, you can purchase this album from iTunes for only $5.99.  You can check out all of Harvey’s work, including Reflections, and his much earlier releases like Redemption or Action Adventure on iTunes.

You can learn more about Richard Harvey on his website.  He has been a musician for such films as The Lion KingKingdom of Heaven, and Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban.  He has also composed original music for television, documentaries, and films.  His film work includes working with Hans Zimmer on The Da Vinci Code score, writing the track entitled “Kyrie for the Magdalene”.

Strings Of Sorrow is available to the public for purchase through iTunes and AmazonFor licensing information, contact West One Music.
